Dinner Talk

Dinner Talk featured image

We were on a double dinner date and this question was posed:

At your current age, what advice would you give your 21 year old self?

Thought provoking, I had nothing … my answer was a word salad, I sounded as articulate as Kamala Harris.

After some thought and a good night sleep, this is my answer:

Not everyone is going to like you, but stay true to yourself. Often it is your unique qualities that they don’t like, stay unique.

Love yourself as you are growing up and maturing, stop being so critical of yourself. When you look back at pictures of your 21 year old face and body, you will think … dang I looked good!!!

Look for quality friendships, not quantity, a small circle of loving friends is priceless, they will last a lifetime.
